A better kind of menopause support — born in New Zealand

The menopause focus at Habits for Health grew from a simple frustration: too many women in midlife were being told to just put up with it.

I watched friends and clients navigate perimenopause and menopause feeling unheard, handed a prescription or a shrug but rarely a plan. Then it happened to me. Weeks of broken sleep, anxiety, a racing mind, hot flushes leaving me exhausted and beside myself. When I finally went to my GP for support, the only answer on the table was menopause hormone therapy. My concerns were brushed aside, my family history went unacknowledged, and I walked out feeling let down by the very system that was supposed to help me.

That experience changed everything. I took everything I had built at Habits for Health and everything I knew from years of holistic training and decided to do things differently. To offer women a practical, natural, whole-person approach that actually listens. One that meets each woman exactly where she is.

Today that mission reaches women right across Aotearoa, through consultations, resources, and a community built on equal parts evidence and empathy.
